1. Kristina - Birth - Sweden Church Records, 6 Apr 1871, Los, Gävleborg, Sweden

- birth of 1871 conflicts with some family records and "traditions", particularly "memoirs of the Skaret Family" (1967) and obit from the Camrose Canadian in 1940 that record birth in 1870
HOWEVER, birth of 1871 is given for the 1900 US Census (Apr 1871) and the 1911 Canada (Apr 1871) and 1916 Canada, age 45 and thus 1871; note; 1906 Canada Census gives age as 35, thus 1870

== Genealogical Proof Standard

Conclusion is that Kristina's date of birth as 6 Apr 1871; this is based on:
- the most "orginal" document, that is, the birth record
- the two census records that specifically asks for the month and year
- marriage record (Vigselbok for 1890)
- household records, AI:12 (1890-1894) page 51, birth as 6 Apr 1871

I have very little information on Kristina's family - what I have is in a PDF file under Ole and Kristina Skaret titled Kristina Ericksen, from my moms (Mary Grue) binder (pages 8 and 11 - brown 3 inch, Lofgren Naslund, Skaret, Grue) and Rueben family group sheet (from my small black binder - this was done in 1980/1981 after I came back from Norway/Sweden ; Note that some of the record that mom had done, was from my notes)...

BUT: 22 Dec 2017 I have worked through Sweden Church books and have recorded information on each of Kristina's Skaret (Eriksson) sisters and brothers and their descendents. This can be followed through my Legacy database.

Note: The youngest brother of Kristina was Aron (born 1892) and this is the person that we had visited in Sweden in 1980

- follows Erik Andersson's ancestors, back a number of generations with earliest date of 1600
- some facts are recorded "unsourced citations" and are from a Släktbok or Genealogical book, but the specifics not recorded

- records Erik Andersson's birth as 5 Oct 1843 at Millmarkstorp, Östmark [parish], Värmland Co, Sweden
- this is about 500 kms west and bit north of Stockholm or about 200 kms north of Karlstad, Sweden or about 200 kms north and west of Olso

- a brother to Erik Andersson, Sven Andersson had emigrated to the US - died in Stearns Co, MN [St Cloud]

Kristina married Ole Olsen Skaret, son of Ole Persen Skaaret and Gjertrud Pedersdtr Grambo, on 19 Jul 1891 in Los, Gävleborg, Sweden ²⁵⁶⁵.^,2566 (Ole Olsen Skaret was born on 16 Jan 1869 in Skaaret, Trysil, Hedmark, Norway ²⁵⁶⁷, baptized on 28 Mar 1869 in Trysil, Hedmark, Norway,²⁵⁶⁷ died on 6 Jan 1940 in Armena, Alberta, Canada ^2568,2569 and was buried in Fridhem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Armena, Alberta, Canada ^2570,2571.)
