1. Birth, 1843 Östmark Parish [ Births 1821-1860 (CI:3), page 199 ]

2. Husförhör (Household records) - Erik Andersson is recorded living with his dad (Anders Stephansson; mostly at the farm/locality of Mellmarkstorp) until the year 1864. In vol AI:21, page 505, on the far right column Flyttat (moving out of parish) on 18 Mar 1864 to Ramsele, Västernorrland
Moving Out - B:2, page 28, line 4, on 18 Mar 1864, Erik Andersson from Mellmarkstorp moving to Ramsele, Västernorrland [about 560 kms north of Östmark and about 250 kms north of Los]
BUT, there is no record of him moving into Ramsele parish: there is a record of a person named, Eric Andersson, coming in to Ramsele on 15 Nov 1864 from Fjällsjö parish in Västernorrland going to the farm, Sörviksstrand in Ramsele parish and on the Husförhör book (AI:9, page 315) there is a record for a person named Erik Andersson but born 28 Apr 1844 at Ramsele and appears to be married - this must be the wrong person, since the birth date is not correct

So, either 'our' Erik Andersson had intended to go to Ramsele when he left but then ended up someplace else or he didn't leave Östmark at all.
However he did have 2 nephews (sons of his sister Karin Andersdotter born 1821, Nils Nilsson b 1858 and Anders Nilsson b 1854 had moved to Ramsjö parish, Gävleborg; but they had left sometime around 1885 to 1886) [Ramsjö parish is about 350 kms north-east of Östmark ]


++++ He is recorded in the moving in records for Los as coming to Hiviåsen Jan 1871 and in the Husförhör book [AI:6, page 103] as coming to Hiviåsen on 19 Dec 1870 from Östmark parish;
But they were married on 5 Feb 1871 and daughter Kjerstin was born 6 Apr 1871 and so, Erik must have come to Hiviåsen around Jul 1870 or earlier

*** There is still a gap from about mid Mar 1864 to about Jul 1870, a period of about 4 years. I don't know where he was during this period.

4. Death, 1921 - from Sweden Church books

Old Rullbo cemetery, Jul 1980

Olaf O Skaaret was buried in Rulbo in an cemetery that appears to be not active. There is a photo that my dad (Oliver) had taken of mom and I at an old tombstone/grave that is mostly a 'pile of rocks'. I am knelling and it looks like I am recording something.

My notes/diary of that time [23 & 23 Jul 1980] notes this is the cemetery where Erik Andersson and Kjerstin Jönsdotter are buried. Erik Andersson's grave is not marked, but his wife's is - Kerstin Andersson (Jönsdotter), 6 Sep 1852 - 4 Feb 1922. Kerstin Andersson's grave marker appears to be wooden cross with name and dates carved into the wood (see photo, Norway-Sweden scanned) This is the same cemetery where Olaf Skåret (and persumably, Anna Kristina Månsdotter) are buried. Mom's notes (see her 2 inch brown binder) records that "...we found Olaf Skaaret's grave .... and also the graves of Grandma Skaret's parents, Erik and Kristin (Jonson) Anderson." But the actual graves were not found. This grave site is not active as far as I know, and many of the graves are not identified or have any markers. Note: that in 2018-2019 there have been a couple of posts of the grave site on the Facebook "Old images ... Los ....", and one of Kerstin Anderssson (Kerstin Jönsdotter, 1852-1922)

The photo of the grave site that Dad took [in binder] is on a bit higher ground in the forest, but doesn't give any details.


5. DISBYT - very few entries for second generation; for example: Aron Einar Eriksson's death is noted, but no deaths noted for any of his children ^{5338,5342,5343}

Erik married Kjerstin Jönsdotter, daughter of Jon Andersson and Kjerstin Nilsdotter, on 5 Feb 1871 in Los, Gävleborg, Sweden.⁵³³⁶ (Kjerstin Jönsdotter was born on 6 Apr 1852 in Hiviåsen, Gälvesborg, Sweden ^5354,5355, baptized on 8 Apr 1852 in Hiviåsen, Gälvesborg, Sweden,⁵³⁵⁶ died on 11 Feb 1922 in Los, Gävleborg, Sweden ⁵³⁵⁷ and was buried in Los, Gävleborg, Sweden ^5358,5359.)
