Stephan Andersson

  Research Notes:

Summary: Stephan Andersson (b 1748) and Karin Nilsdotter (b 1755) had 6 children. However, only two children lived into adulthood, although 2 children died in their early twenties and neither had any children. Maria Stephansdotter (b 1788) - she was married but did not have any children.

My 3rd greatgrandfather, Anders Stephansson (b 1791) was married and he had 10 children and many descendants.

Karin Nilsdotter (b 1755) is recorded on page 4 [about mid-page], as a piga and referenced to page 8; on page 4 she is recorded with one "examination" on 12 Nov 1779 and communion on 5 Dec 1779

One was Karin born 1781 and died in 1781 [ see Östmark (S) CI:1 (1765-1818) Image 38 / Page 67, no 5 1st side bottom ]. the Second, Karin born 1782 and died 1804. I could not find a birth record in volume CI:1 for Karin number 2 - perhaps there was some confusion in with 'two Karin's'

  Noted events in his life were:

1. Residence, 1779-1814, 1779-1814, Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden. ⁵⁷²⁶ Farm/locality: Mellmarkstorp. Stephan Andersson (and his family) lived on the farm Mellmarkstorp for most of his life. This is recorded in a number of the Husförhör books over the years 1779-1814.

2. Death, 1814, 1814, Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden. ⁵⁷²⁷ The Husförhör book, 1811-1815 (AI:7, page 150) for the farm/locality of Mellmarkstorp records his death as 1814, but not the day or the month However, there is no record for "burials" for this time frame (only for the years to 1811 and then the next book starts at the year 1821). I have no explanation for this.

Stephan married Karin Nilsdotter on 19 Nov 1781 in Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden ⁵⁷²².^,5723 (Karin Nilsdotter was born in 1755 in Sweden ⁵⁷²² and died on 14 Dec 1827 in Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden ^5728,5729.)
