Summary:

Laurentzia's parents are noted in the Tolga bygebok and the geni.com FT. These sources also record the farm of their births.
Their children were born at Vestgård vestre [aka, Lillegård] in the Øverjodalen are of Tolga parish.
At one point, I wondered if they were related since they lived at Vestgård where my 2nd great-grandmother, Olava Røstbakken was born. BUT I'm quite sure they are not related.

Laurentzia's given name is spelled in various ways in Norway Parish records and the Bygebok for Os. I have chosen to use the spelling, Laurentzia, although it is possible that I have written it differently. Her name is definitely not spelled as "Laurence" as some family trees have record. I have used her name from the Bailey Ancestry FT on Ancestry.com [djbailey35] with last access, 15 Aug 2024

On 8 Jul 1836, she married Mikkel Jonsen Bakken and they lived at Bakken vestre in the Tujfsingdalen area of Tolga parish. Mikkel and Laurentzia had 8 children [see Mikkel Jonsen Bakken's research notes and research notes for their children.

As indicated, many of the children of Mikkel and Laurentzia left Tolga parish for North America, eventually homesteading in Nelson County, North Dakota.

On 19 May 1888, Laurentzia emigrated to North America and joined her children in North Dakota. In 1896 she had obtained a homestead on Sec 17 in West Antelope Twp, Benson Co with the patent issued on 22 Nov 1901. She died on 24 Dec 1908, likely at the home of her daugther, Dorthe Maria Paulson and Anna L Bakke in West Antelope Twp, Nelson Co, ND.

Note: there are a number of MyHeritage "matches" for her ... but all record death as 14 Dec 1908, most record her death at Bakken Vestre or Tufsingdalen
