Halvor Norby 6 Mar 1907 - died at the home of his sister Mrs P C Clements [ likely an error - likely refers to his daughter ] - suffered from cancer for the past year - came to this city two months ago - native of Norway; born 26 Sept 1836 - "For years he engaged in contracting about nativy, during which career he constructed a number of important government roads and bridges" nativy -- ??? - apprenticed as a tanner - in 1887 he emigrated to America - survived by widow, Thrwald, Henry, and Peter Norby, Mrs Claude Mattison, Mrs C H Olberg and Mrs Anderson
Pernille Skaaret, 20 Nov 1907 - bedridden for 2 years after attack of paralysis - had lost the use of lower limbs - died yesterday morning <Nov 19> === this is an error - date of death recorded on tomstone and in the probate record is Nov 15, 1907 == also the obit copy from Ancestors ..... reports she died the morning of Nov 15 - was the widow of the late Peter Norby [ likely an error - Halvor; she was staying with Peter ] who died in this city a year ago after a lingering illness [ also, likely an error - about 6 months ] - survived by Mrs P G Clements, Mrs C I Matson, Mrs C J Anderson, Mrs C H Olberg, Henry and Peter Norby of this city; and Rev J F Norby of Bellingham
