7. Marriage +++ conflicting information
Conclusion: 24 Nov 188
- the MN Marriage Record from Steele Co is likely the most accurate and is closer to the original source and would have been recorded shortly after the event - would need to see the actual certificate to see if there were transcription errors
- the obits and Census (1886) information is likely given years later and could have been more based on the memory of sometime after Elise arrived in MN (1886);

9. Findagrave id 162267433; Redmens Cemetery, Port Townsend
- includes a photo and the following posted comment:
"Born Karen Elise in Trysil, Elisa left Norway to start the family's immigration by coming to Minnesota in 1885. The following year her father came and they both worked to purchase passage for the rest of the family to come over. It was in Blooming Prairie where she met Peter Clements and they were married in nearby Rochester in 1887. The following year, after her parents' house burned down, Peter and his father-in-law went west to Washington state to procure work and obtain land. Peter opened a blacksmith business in Port Townsend in 1891 and it was there they raised their 5 children. After Peter died, Elisa bought a house on Fillmore Ave in Port Townsend and rented out rooms. 3651,3656,3657
