- US Draft Card - 30 Oct 1893

- Jefferson Co Genealogy cemetery - 1893
- Allen Dale Anderson data - 1893
- US SSDI - 30 Oct 1892 -- (see below -- BUT this listing is NOT CONFIRMED)
Conclusion: date of birth that is most likely correct -- 30 Oct 1893
a. Clarence's report his birth on the US Draft Card
b. obit - created at the time, likely from information provided by family
c. Allen Anderson's data - based on family information
d. consistency of the information - only one source is off - 1930 Census - however, if the US SSDI is the correct person, then two sources
Further Research - find the birth certificate and death certificate, that is find primary source information; rank - as above under consclusion; point 4 (misinformation) - Census information can have errors
--- ---- it appears the Clarence went by the name Henry (Allen Dale Anderson's data)

- Allen B Anderson (1979) - says he married Margaret Slocum
- WA Digital - 8 Feb 1937 - Clarence Henry Clements of Port Townsend and Margaret I [ L ? ] Olson at Olympia ---- BUT then on 19 June 1937 - Margaret Clements to Arthur J Slocum at Olympia
- 1930 US Census -- indicates marriage about 1919-1920 and only lists her as Margaret I
- Obit makes no mention of a wife
- Margaret Slocum - US SSDI - lists two SSN issued by WA - one died Sept 1983 at Everett and born in Dec 1897; the other died Aug 1987 at Santa Barbara, CA and born in Aug 1905
