1. Birth: 18 Oct 1818. His birth is noted in the birth/baptism record (Östmark, CI:2, p 285 no 66). He is not recorded as "oäkta" (born before marriage) although his parents marriage record states that they were married on 23 Dec 1818.

- daughters name was Carrie Anderson [Karin Svensdotter], born 13 Jan 1857; died 18 of Apr 1914 in Vancouver, BC


NOTE: Kristina Eriksdotter (married to Ole Olsen Skaret) and Carrie Andersson (actually, Svensdotter) were 1st cousins -- did they know each other in the ND (today Richland Co is about a 3 hour drive from Harvey ND) and in Alberta?

- by 1880, Maria is recorded as a "widow", so it is reasonable that he likely died before Jun of 1880. FTs record the birth of Ella about 1876 - I have not found a birth recorded at Big Grove or Norway Lake, so it is possible that family lived someplace else

This means that Sven and family first came to the Spring Grove, Houston Co, MN area - at least in 1865, and likely [but not sure] when they first came to the US, Spring Grove was a major Scandinavian settlement [search Norwegian Ridge].
By June of 1866, the family had moved on to Stearns Co, MN
