Ingeborg Kristina Moen

  Research Notes:

As I have indicated below, there is very little verifiable information Ingeborg Kristina Moen, b 1866. I have reviewed 2 Family Trees on Ancestry and one on Geni.com FT, but there is limited evidence that the person that is mentioned by the FTs are in fact Ingeborg Kristina Moen, b 1866 my third half-counsin, three times removed.
I have not found any other verifiable information. Therefore, I can only record her name and birth/baptism on my Legacy data.

.. notes that she had a son Ole Andreas born in 16 Sep 1891, but he died in 1896 ... born out of wedlock
mother Kjerstine Olsdatter from Os and father Karl Oskar Viskel [likely born in Sweden in 1862]

.. boy's death 10 Sep 1896. Ole Andreas Wiskel ... father as above .... mother not noted

... she was recorded in the 1891 Norway Census working as a servant in Røros - but I'm not sure the farm

.. has no other information .... and I haven't tried to research in detail ...


.... the problem with the above, is that there is minimal evidence that this is 'our' Ingeborg Kristina Moen, b 1866 since the above record only notes Kjerstine Olsdatter from Os ... Kjerstine or spelling variations would have been a common given name; Olsdatter as the patronymic is very common [15 Jun 2025]

14 June 2025 .... general Ancestry search for Ole Johnsen Moen, born 1824

.. 21 Family Trees were found, but most do not have information on Ingeborg Kristina Moen, b 1866 ... most only have her name
but 2 FTs record her as Ingeborg Kjerstine "Emma" Olsen, born 1866 in Tolga [and provide a link to the actual birth/baptism record]
and married to Ole Peter Hanson, b 1864; and reference to 1891 WI marriage record - Ingeborg's parents are noted
.. so, birthdate is Correct as is the names of her parents [but no other information on her parents]
.. 1900 US Census for Barron Co, WI records her immigration as 1884 ... her name his noted as Emma
[so, this Ingeborg and the Ingeborg from geni.com are not the same person]
.. the 2 FTs record birth and deaths of 3 children, but I haven't researched them in any detail
.. Ole P Hanson died in 1921 in California ... but to recording of her death

SO, there is very little evidence that the Ingeborg of these 2 FTs are 'our Ingeborg Kristina Moen, b 1866'
