NOTE: the surety/confidence level that this is the correct family is quit convincing regarding the 1865 Census, but less so for the 1900 or the 1910 census

- Engbret Kristoffersen, born 1865; lumber worker - Tømmerarbieder (in 1910 he is listed with his brother, Tobias and is recorded as a Skogsarbieder - forest worker)


c. 1910 Norway Census, Øver Rendal (ID:pf01036417000820); Residence Hougset søndre, Fattiggård


- Karen Marie Thoresdatter, born 31 Dec 1825, Tolgen BUT this conflicts with birth record recording birth as 29 Dec 1825; Conclusion: this residence in 1910 is likely correct, but further verification would be needed - it is not clear why she wouldn't be with her son (Tobias, is his record in 1910 is correct), unless she was very ill and by this time, homes and care for the elderly became more readily avialable

- records birth as 31 Dec 1825 in Tufsingdalen

Birth -- conclusion: even though 1910 Norway Census and the death record in the Parish Register records birth as 31 Dec 1825, the date of birth as recorded at the time of baptism is much closer to the time frame of the event; additionally when she moved to Rendal parish, this was also much closer to the birth event. Therefore, I conclude that her birth is 29 Dec 1825. ^520,540
