1.Some family researches indicate that Bengt Henriksson Manninen (b 1638) and Brita Tomasdotter Purainen (b 1650) had two daughters - Maria/Marit and Margareta. They note birth as 1670 (Marit ??) and died in 1743; but then another daugther, Margaret/Maria (b 1672, died 1743). Most also record that the daughter born in 1672 married Staffan Henriksson Tarvainen.

Bo Brunzell records her name as Margareta Bengtsdotter. This is also the name that the geni.com FT (Baard Samer Gjerde 24 May 2018) records.

However, Kenneth Bergman records the name of Staffan Henriksson Tarvainen as Maria Bengtsdotter Manninen born about 1672 and died in 1743. She was born at Rattsjöberg, but her children born at Mången

Conclusion: I think that the given name is most likely Maria, but she was also known as Margareta. It is likely that daughter Marit (born 1670) died before 1672 and that daughter Maria/Margareta was born in 1672. It is possible that the FT researchers are

Kenneth Bergman has noted a couple of court records on the page for Maria Bengtsdotter Manninen. One is from 1698 (ht 64). This doesn't name Staffan Henriksson but says "Henrik Henriksson in Mången and his brother's wife Margeta Bengtsdotter also from Mången seeks inheritance after his sister Marit Henriksdotter. She had left 1/4 of Mången, to Pål Henriksson as his home" ...............

The second court record is from 1703 (ft 101) and this talks about the brothers, Henrik, Tomas, and Staffan Bengtsson either buying or selling (?) 1/4 of Mången to or from brother in law, Staffan Henriksson. .... this implies that Maria/Margeta had three brothers, Henrik, Tomas and Staffan ... but Tomas ??? - no other FT has someone name Tomas Bengtsson
