1. Birth and Death

Most of the family researchers record that Bengt Henriksson was born about 1628 at the farm Djuprämmen. The current parish for the farm is Rämmen parish, but Rämmen parish was not a separate parish before 1879. Prior to 1879 the area was under Färnebo parish, but it appears there was a chapel at Rämmen as early as 1850. Some of the earliest records at Färnebo are birth records (starting in 1651) and death records (starting 1664), but both of these are a part of Filipstad parish records (on Arkivdigital). On my Legacy database I have recorded his birth as Rämmen parish for simplicity, but to more accurate it should be Färnebo parish.

Death

Bo Brunzell records his death as 1689. Kenneth Bergman records before 1692. Tony Östlund (from geni.com FT)records 1690. Since there isn't agreement (nor any records at this time), the actual death is unproven. However, by reviewing the taxation records (Mantalsländger) Bengt Hinriksson is taxed starting in 1676 until 1689. His oldest son, Henrik, is taxed in 1690. Thus, it is likely he died about 1689

However, Niclas Persson (see my document, "Niclas Persson Anbytarforum posts, Apr 2001") records that his wife Britta Tomasdotter Purainen married Erik Eriksson Tenhuinen (b abt 1660) from N Röjdåsen and that they had a son, Erik Eriksson Tenhuinen who was born abt 1688 [or 1689] (others have also noted this approximate birth date). Therefore, is it likely that Bengt Henriksson died before 1689.

Bengt Henriksson in Rattsjöberg has agreed to her half-sister's [Annika Henriksson Häkkinen] husband Lars Matsson [her 1st husband] from Rattsjöberg about the use of the home farm. Inheritance issues are investigated: Henrik Larsson and his wife Kerstin Bengtsdotter in Djuprämen (Färnebo) had the following children: Bengt, Jöns, Henrik and Marit. Henrik Larsson died [about 1638] and Kerstin married Henrik Tomasson Häck [Häkkinen]. Djuprämen was sold after 50 years and the family settled in Fryksdalen and took up Rattsjöberg. In the latter marriage there are the children Annika and Pål. Annika is married to Lars Matsson. Pål is dead, but has left the son Henrik.

Henrik Häck and Kerstin Bengtsdotter have recently died. The claimant Bengt's sister Marit has received 10 rd as inheritance by her father, the brothers Jöns and Henrik have received 10 rd each and travelled or restarted to Guinea (Caribbean) [West Indies] ** and Bengt have received 5 rd. He is awarded another 5 years of the estate. Of real estate Bengt and his sister Marit owns 1/6 in Rattsjöberg and Annika along with nephew 5/6. But since Pål's widow wants her son's lot to be given to Bengt, until then this happens, Bengt and Lars Matsson will possess half of the homeplace [?].

  Noted events in his life were:

2. Death: abt 1689, Bef 1689, Fryksände, Värmland län, Sweden. Location: Rattsjöberg. Bengt Henriksson Manninen is recorded on the Mantalslängder (Fryksände transcribed records in 1689, but not in 1690. Bengt was first taxed in 1676 at Rattsjöberg and continuing until 1689. In 1690, his oldest son, Henrik Bengston is taxed. Although this is not proof, it is likely he died about 1689 or possibly 1688.
Bengt's wife remarried to Erik Eriksson Tenhuinen and they had a son who was likely born 1688-1689.

Bengt married Britta Tomasdotter Purainen, daughter of Tomas Klemetsson and Unknown, in 1662 in Fryksände, Värmland län, Sweden.⁸⁴⁴³ (Britta Tomasdotter Purainen was born between 1646 and 1655 in Fryksände, Värmland län, Sweden ⁵⁷⁴⁹ and died between 1695 and 1706 in Fryksände, Värmland län, Sweden ⁵⁷⁴⁹.)
