- parents, Kari Ingebretsdatter Tuffsingdal[en? or s?] and Thore Jonsen Grue --- I can't make out witnesses
- just under Esten's name, in a bit smaller writing, is "uogte" ?? - it is difficult to make out, but it is likley "ægte" which means illegitimate -- in the writing of parent/witnesses the word is also repeated, then ? Esten and then two words ? and then Thore Jonsen Grue - then one word ? No 33 [refers to Kronologisk Liste number; however, the year 1811 is not on Digitalarkivet]

2. Death and Burial

- burial and internment on 20 April 1898
- he was widower [Enkeman, then one word?]
- birth
- residence - Narjord; cause of death [ ? ]
- doctor was called; sheriff or probate was notified
- under 'remarks' - Begravet [buried] Narjord

3. 1865 Norway census: farm Rybakken, Tolga; also Sigrid Olsdtr, age 3 (born abt 1862 in Reendalen parish) is living in the household - listed as granddaughter - daughter's daughter (datterdatter) (her father's first name would have been Ole)

- Karoline Estensd, birth 1838 in Røros; hm - housewife; marital - e - widower;
farmer - with an agreement to lease the land or farm known as Jordbrug or owned by someone named Jordburg [husband? ] [ Gårdbrugerske (bygsel) Jordbrug ]
- Sigrid Olsd born 1836 in Øvre Rendalen; daughter, un-married; house and farm worker [ Hus- og gårdarbeide ]
- Helga Jøgensd born 1898 "t" [ likely means the same as above, thus Øvre Rendalen ]; family position as Foster daughter to No 2, thus to Sigrid [ Pleiedtr - Pleiedatter ] [ Datter til no. 2 ]
- then listed is Jørgen Olauss. born 1871 in Fosnes NT (Nord Trondhiem); position - servant; occupation as farmer worker or farmhand [ Gårdsdreng ] ; ----- father to Helga ????
- also listed is Kristine Pedersd. born 1819 as a lodger not related to the family

- born in 1810 at Tufsingdalen, Holm-Andre at or on [pa] Ver jåa married in 1865 to Kari Olsdatter, baptised in 1809 in Levangerskogn
- in 1838, lodger at Tufsingdalen [ har husrom ]
- in 1842, husmannfolk at Sørgaard in Øversjødalen (cotter - a cottage and some land for personal use in exchange for labor work on the owner's farm
- in 1865 at Rybakken - husmann juten jord [cotter without land]; in 1875 ... rypefanger [ trapper of wild ptarmigan, grouse ]

- It has been told that Esten was the last [person ?] in Narjordet that lived from hunting, trapping and fishing. He was also one of the last [persons ?] to be involved or connected with the reindeer in Håmmålsfjellet. [Esten var den siste i Narjordet som levde av jakt, fangst og fiske, er det fortalt. Han var også den siste som skjøt villirein i Håmmålsfjellet]

Esten had a relationship with Ingeborg Rasmusdatter Joten. (Ingeborg Rasmusdatter Joten was born in 1820 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway ⁵³¹ and died in 1886 in Nygaard, Tolga, Hedmark, Norway ⁵³¹.)
