6. 10 Jul 2022 from Eddie Lofgren, a grandson on Johan N and the son of John A

I had driven down the back alley to take a look at dad's back yard. And Eddie Lofgren was in the back drive way cleaning his car. Stopped and chatted.

He said that he had a call recently from Jane Feduk (Phil had died 2-3 yrs ago)
- Jane had been contacted by Darryl Lyseng (Everald Lyseng's son) and Darryl had asked why John Lofgren and his wife, Edelina were buried in Camrose and not closer to the farm in the Hay Lakes area
Eddie's response:
- the Swedes in the area had some type of "Evangelical" Church on the 80 acres north of John Lofgren's home. The Swedes and the Norwegians built the church as a joint venture, but the 2 groups didn't get along; the Norwegians bought out the Swedes and moved the church to the present day location and named it St Joseph's
- many Swedes, including John Lofgren went to a Swedish "Evangelical" church in Camrose* - this was just across the road from the Charlie Killiam school (but present day - it was torn down and some apartments were built; I remember a church there for many years)
- Eddie remembers going to his grandpa's funeral at that church - Eddie would have been about age 12 in 1955
- this is most likely why John and Edelina were buried at the Camrose Cemetery, later renamed as Valleyview Cemetery

* this was likely "The Evangelical Covenant Church", initially "Mission Covenant Church"
[page 38 - Camrose history ... by Stan Hambly, 1980.]
- the above source doesn't give the location, but using the phone book and Yellow pages [https://mhdgs.ca/camrose.html -- see my document, "appendix"]
for 1971: Evangelical Covenant Church, 4802-46 Street, phone 672-2144
