7. Østerdølenes Saga by .... Nielsen
Nels P. Eggen, married to Anne Aaen, both from Tønset, Anne is a sister to Iver Aaen. They came to the Fillmore County, Minn., In 1868 and up here to the Prairie Farm [Barron Co] in 1872, got land and cleared a farm. Some years ago they sold and moved to New Auburn, Chippewa county, where they had three daughters married. They both died there years ago. They had three sons, the Rev. Thore Eggen in Minneapolis is a son of them.
-- actually, Anne Aaen would have been a step-mother to the children; Nels and her married in 1874 after all the children were born

Conclusion: Nina J Eggen [ 3 June 2013 ]
- the above information is likely correct; however, the direct evidence that Nina J Eggen is a direct relationship is weak since the 1900 US Census is the only 'original' source and I haven't been able to find any other source information on who her father was. Therefore, I have not recorded her information or her family information on Legacy. Further research is needed - see 'to do list' for Nils Paulsen Eggen
