1. Norway Parish Registers
(Røros Ministerialbok, 1767-1979, page 13, line 19 (2nd side)

- other children ??? R Ministerialbok, 1798-1808 - nothing to the end of 1803, end page 166-167 [ 8 Apr 2013 ]

- can't find any other information on Lars Mortensen Hulbækdal / Hulbechmoe / Hulbeckmoen / Hulbexmoen
- no record of gard/hus of Grueldal in Røros 1838 Matrikkel or the name of Lars Mortensen or his wife
- note - there is not someone by the name of Lars, father Morten, born in Røros 1769-1771, thus the Lars Mortensen born in Tolga is likely most accurate
- note: no mention of Lars Mortensen, born 1770 in Tolgen by Ivar Sæter, or in the listing of burials; only page 80 (side 86) - Mortensgaarden - The first user/farmer was from Hulbækdal named Morten (hence, the name). After him, his son Per* went to Røros to work and has since build Pederslien. [ Den første bruger var Hublækdal og heg Morten (deraf navnet ). Efter ham hans søn, Per, som maattesælge til Røros verk, og som siden byggede i Pederslien ]

3. Conclusions:

- from the Norway Parish Registers, it is pretty clear that Lars Mortensen was a son to Morten Simensen Hulbækdal; this would make Jon Simensen Grue (1729-1807) a half-uncle to Lars, since Morten and Jon were half brothers
- it is less certain, but it is most likely that Lars Mortensen moved to Røros; there he married Ingri Olsdtr Dahl in 1797 and that they had at least one child, Ingbor, born in 1798; Lars also worked at the smetler in Røros
- unfortunately, I have not found any further any information on the family of Lars Mortensen - much research is required
- * although Ivar Sæter (Tolgen) wrote that Morten's son, Per, moved to Røros it is likely he was referring to Lars; and it is likely that Per is the person who built up Pederslien

*** Klokkervang by Per Harold Grue, records that Lars Mortensen died as a child; however, there is not a burial record in Tolgen; - if his birth was 1770 then to have died as a child, his death would have to be before 1795-1790, but there is no burial for Lars Mortensen for this time period
