.. Norman Rusten was born on July 7, 1909, at the home of his grandmother in Maple Bay, Minnesota. He was the son of Nettie Wilson Rusten and Richard Rusten. Norman's father, Richard died when Norman was less than 3 years old. Norman had one sister, Myrtle Rusten Portz as well as 2 half-sisters; Amanda and Syrine Rusten. After the death of Richard Rusten, Norman's mother married Benjamin Tereau. Nettie and Benjamin had 7 children. Syrine Rusten died in infancy and Amanda Rusten went to live with other relatives .....
