Kajsa Bollman

   Another name for Kajsa was Carrie Bollman.

  Research Notes:

Death: Kajsa's death is uncertain. None of the Ancestry Family Trees record a date of death. "All of Me" FT records she was married abt 1879 to Olaf / Ole W Hedlund. In the 1800 US Census and the 1885 MN State Census she is recorded at Collinwood Twp, Meeker Co, MN married to O W Hedlund. It is reasonable to conclude that this is the same person, Olaf or Ole W Hedlund. After 1885, Kajsa is not found in any record.

There are a couple of clues that indicate a likely death between 1885 and 1892. The 1895 MN State Census and the 1900 US Census both recorded Ole W Hedlund married to Augusta. In the 1900 US Census it is noted that they were married for about 7 years, thus about 1893. And there is a record for a marriage on 2 Aug 1893 for Ole W Hedlund and Augusta Goode [Gooda?]. The 1895 MN State Census records Ole Hedlund and wife Angusta with a son Reuben age 1 [in 1900 US Census, he is recorded as born Oct 1893]

From these 2 clues it is reasonable to conclude that Kajsa died between 1885 and 1892.

Children: as noted in the Stockholm Lutheran Church records, Kajsa had a son outside of marriage. He was named Olaf Alfrid, b in in 1875 and died in 1878. The father is not specifically recorded, but in the birth/baptism record in the column next to Kajsa, "O. Hedlund" is recorded. And so it is likely that the father was Ole/Olaf Hedlund.
