- Mary is with parents in 1875 MN State Census, but not in the 1880 US Census


2. Death, Abt 1911, Dalton

- my source information / citation indicates that it is from wc.rootsweb, merry kieth database. However, as of 3 Apr 2017 this database DOES NOT give this death. Thus, the death in 1911 at Dalton likely is from one of the Ancestry Trees, (I have made this correction), but I'm not sure which tree.


3. Death - there is a findagrave result at Sarpsborg Lutheran Cemetery for

Maria G Berger, born 9 Oct 1855 and died 7 Sep 1911
- this is most likely Mary Berthe Johnson-Roan (the middle initial of "G" is likely a mistake). Birthdate matches andd the year of death matches.
- this also links to spouse, George Helge Berger born 16 Aug 1863 and died 28 Apr 1935 - birthdate likely matches.

- George H Berger most likely married after the death of Mary in 1911. He is recorded with a wife named Marie B Berger but born in 1886 in North Dakota. They had a number of children (see 1930 Census)
- both 1920 and 1930 Census has George H Berger as a Merchant, Hardware Store

2. Residence 1900, 1 Jun 1900, Little Sauk, Todd Co, Minnesota, United States. ¹⁶⁵⁶ George H Berger, head, age 36 born in Aug 1863 in Norway, emigrated in 1886, naturalization, farmer, married 10 years. Mary B, wife, age 44 born Oct 1955 in WI, married 10 yrs <1890>, mother of no children (none living). Also recorded is George's brother, Gust, born Sep 1872, age 27, single, emigrated in 1886, farmer. Note, Ole Johnson and Beret are at dwelling 115.

3. Residence, 1910, 15 Apr 1910, Dalton, Minnesota, United States. ¹⁶⁵⁷ George H Berger, age 47 born in Norway, married 20 years, emigrated in 1886, Retail Merchant in Hardware. Bertha M, wife, age 54 born in Wisconsin, married 20 years, mother of no children (although this is written in the column next to George).
