2. I haven't found further information; nothing on Newspapers.com [San Diego Union-Tribune is the newspaper but not on newspapers.com; but possible San Diego Union is on Genealogybakn] - couldn't find in on findagrave or billiongraves; not found or indexed 1940 US Census
3. It is likely he moved to California later in life. He is not indexed in the CA Voter Index, 1900-1968; nor on US City Directories [although in 1975 there are 2 people named Nels Peterson - one is retrd living at 42736 ½ N 34 St but this is in the community area of Normal Heights ; and the other with only Nels Peterson at 4380 Mississippi St and is a bit closer to downtown. Neither are in the Spring Valley area, but of course either could have become ill and to go to some type of care home and the closest available was in Spring Valley
