- he married Ingri "Peggy" B Movold on 2 Apr 1971 [ he was age 42 at this time ]

- survived by his children, Scott, Douglas, Cynde, Sarah (married to Fletcher), and Kathryn all of Minneapolis
- also survived by three [four] stepsons, Rolland Ranson, Orono, ME, Donald (Gail) Ranson, David (Deana) Ranson, and John Ranson, all of Ontario, Canada; three stepdaughters, Sylvia and Louise Ranson, both of Ontario, Canada and Kathleen (Rev. Terry) Hawkins, Oakwood; ---- are these her children and therefore his step-children or were they children of his previous wife ???

- there is a photo of Benson Alexander, but it is likely taken in 1940's or early 1950's

- there is also a link to Benson Alexander son's tombstone that has his obit: Douglas Pierce Alexander (born 1954, died 4 Mar 2018) and this records his mother as Iola M Pierce (who survives)..
-- based on this, the "Ranson" children named in the above obit, were likely her children from a previous marriage
The Armena History book says that she had 7 children

- died on 6 Oct 2021 at London, ON at the age of 97
- predeceased by her husband Gordon Ranson (in 1964) of Sarnia, ON, and Benson Alexander (in 2009) of Port Huron, MI; her sister Eileen (Movold) in 1998 and son John in 2018
- survived by her brother Thomas A Movold of Kitchener
- "...spent her childhoof on a farm in Armena, Alberta ..." married and moved to Sarnia where she raised 7 children... spent the last few years in London [ON]
- survived by son Rolland [Ranson], Donald (Gail) [Ranson], David (Deanna) [Ranson], Sylvia [Ranson], Louise [Ranson], John (decesased) [Ranson] and Kathy (Terry Hawkins)... granmother to Brent and Todd, Monica and Melissa; Jennifer and Jeffrey; Sherida and Suzanne; Melanie and Natasha; Christopher and Mark; Stephen and Brent...17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren
