Kjerstin Persdotter
- Born: 14 Mar 1849, Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden 8863
Research Notes:
See Ancestry FT's noted on her father's research page
- NONE of the FTs record any more information on her, but I am reasonably assured that she had moved with her parents to Stockholm Twp (Moores Prairie), Wright Co, around 1866. This is based on the US Evangelical Lutheran Church records for Stockholm Lutheran Church (image 702). AND, Emigranterna Från Östmark, 1852-1936; image 201 Kjerstin is recorded with her father - and it is noted that the last known address for all members is Sheyenne, ND
However, I have NOT found her after this. She is NOT recorded with her parents in the 1870 US Census (or 1880) or in the 1875 MN state. It is possible that the she died before 1870 (the rest of the family was enumerated on 17 Aug 1870), since she is not recorded her parents. By this time, Kjerstin would have been 21 years old. It is also possible that she married and later records only record her married name and likely her given name was 'anglicized', but it isn't certain what that would be.
There is one possible record for a marriage:
** Stockholm church records, image 1074 8 Jul 1871: Henrik Pålson och Margo (or Marg) Halstsenson in Moores Prairie ????? maybe ?? BUT: neither name in 1870 US Census at Moores Prairie post office sheets - page 1-24, although a Henry Paulson age 48 on page 1 but he is married and a number of children- did his wife die?; but nothing in 1875 MN State, re; Henrik or Henry Paulson other than a Henrik age 40 and with a daugther age 13, thus born about 1862, so this can't be the same person ** NOTE: I can't any more find Kerstin Hallstensdotter (named Margo Halstensdotter) or Henrik Pålson married in 1871 at Moores Prairie, Stockholm Township, Wright Co. However, both the Benson FT and Brodin-Ostlund FT on ancestry record Per's daughter, Stina (b 1855), with her name as "Christina Margaret Persdotter" Hanson. And Brodin-Ostlund FT has a photo of her children. Additionally, record that her husband was John Peterson Hedman (1851-1916) and that they both died at Tisdale, Sk, Canada.; so it is not clear who "Margo of Marg Halstenssondotter is ???
- see my page for research notes for "Stina Persdotter, b 1855"

Both Kjerstin and sister Ingeborg (b 1852) are recorded with their father in the 1870 US Census, but not in the 1875 MN State Census. So it is mostly likely that they married, but their husbands are not known, and any search using their first and possible second names do not gain any more information. 8859
