**** DO NOT confuse this Nils Ifvarsson (b abt 1694) with "our" Nils Ifvarsson b 1740 and who was the son of Ivar Nilsson (b 1713)

But back to Erik Johansson Mark's wife ...

Kerstin Nilsdotter is with 95% probability just daughter of Nils Ifvarsson and Maria Olofsdotter in Långerud. All other Kerstin Nilsdottar in Fryksände Storsocken at this time are busy, and besides, Käppanstorp is like a first village breakout during Långerud's home [from Långerud's home or first farm]

Erik Johansson Mark's father Johan Eriksson Tenhuinen had in his younger years worked in the village Svenshöjden under Långerudsskogen, a stone's throw from Käppanstorp. The father thus had a contact with the families in Svenshöjden and Käppanstorp. However, he managed his boyish service less well and got fired ... That then son Erik Johansson marries to Långerudsskogen is quite natural ...

Erik Johansson and Kerstin Nilsdotter had the following children:
Karin Eriksdotter Tenhuinen 1754-07-16
Ingeborg 1757-01-10
Marit 1759-09-23 dead 1760?
Nils Eriksson Tenhuinen 1762-03-07
Marit Eriksdotter Tenhuinen 1764-09-30
Britta 1767-10-31 died 1770
Britta 1772-01-27

The children's places of birth, both Käppanstorp and Långerudsskogen, the same place!

But now to a personally interesting question.

I am from Nils Eriksson Tenhuinen b. 1762 Långerudsskogen dead 1813 and Karin Jacobsdotter Valkoinen f.1757 Jaakola Mosevattnet, Brandval* dead 1811 (Daughter of Jacob Jacobsson Valkoinen f.1724 in Gransjön, Östmark and Lisbet Matisdotter Räisäinen f.1730 in Öieren, Brandval. ) Both dead in Svenshöjden under Käppanstorp, Långerudsskogen.* Jaakola Mosevattnet is likely the name of a farm/community in Brandval parish, Hedmark

Nils and Karin's children:

Erik Nilsson Tenhuinen 1788-05-26
Jacob 1790-06-14
Lisa Nilsdotter Tenhuinen 1792-07-04 ** Niclas Persson Tenhuinen's ancestor
Johan Nilsson Tenhuinen 1794-05-20
Nils 1798-04-24 dead 1803
Karin Nilsdotter Tenhuinen 1801 dead 1802
All the children born in Svenshöjden under Käppanstorp.

2. See Kerstin Nilsdotter research notes regarding her history and my conclusion that Kerstin Nilsdotter's (1732-1799) does NOT appear to be the daugther of Nils Ifvarsson and Maria Olofsdotter.

3. Children and family from Fryksände/Östmark household records for Erik Johansson Tenhuinen (Mark) born 1726 and family.

Östmark (S) AI:4 (1794-1799) Image 134 / Page 128, Käppanstorp (under Långerud)
Nils Ersson b 1762 and his family
- then modn Kerstin Nilsdotter, b 1732, AND died 1799

Östmark (S) AI:3 (1788-1793) Image 131 / Page 126, Käppanstorp (under Långerud)
Kerstin Nilsdotter, enken b 1732 (but first is written 1723 and then this is crossed off);
son, Nils Ersson b 1762 and his family

Östmark (S) AI:2 (1779-1787) Image 99 / Page 92, Käppanstorp (under Långerud)
Erik Johansson, b 1724, AND died 1782
wife Kerstin, born 1732
- other children are recorded, but it also shows that they moved to other farms/villages
NOTE: Niclas Persson Tenhuinen (Anbytarforum post, Apr 2001) does not record son Johan born 1767 (he records a daughter Britta born 31 Oct 1767 - were they twins?. However, this vol records her birth as 1772 and reference to p 9 but not here or on page 7 [Östmark ??]
[but she or Johan is not recorded in Östmark or Fryksände birth/baptism books ]
NOTE: in this household record volume, son Johan is referenced to page 89 where he is recorded as a drang at S. Åskogsberget. And then in the next vol, AI:3 he is recorded on page 123 at S. Åsbkogsberget, but then he moves to page 118 [Rosastorp], and then again to page 126 at Käppanstorp

Östmark (S) AI:1 (1773-1778) Image 76 / Page 70, Käppanstorp (under Långerud)

Fryksände (S) AI:8 (1764-1768) Image 55 / Page 50, Svenshögden

- only daughter Karin b 16 Jul 1754; household exam date of 18 Nov 1756

Fryksände (S) AI:6a (1752-1757) Image 65 / Page 59a, Östmark Soldate ...
Sold. Erik Mark, b 1724; wife Kirsten b 1732; note: names are crossed off, usually indicating a move ... p 83?
daughter, Karin born 1754; household exam date of 14 Nov 1754

NOTE: There is not a marriage record in Fryksände. There are some missing marriage records in volume EI:3, page17. There is a blank page with a note, but I'm not sure what is says - it appears that there are missing marriage records for 1753 (numbers 27-37; no 26 is for 26 Dec 1753) and for early 1754 (no 1-4, with no 5 marriage for Apr 15 1754). It is likely that Erik Johansson and Kirsten Nilsdotter's marriage was one of the missing records.
Since he was a soldier he may have been stationed someplace else even a different parish. And this brings up the possibility that Kerstin was born in this other place. [?]
- see his wife's, Kerstin Nilsdotter's research notes (point 3). And as I have recorded on her research notes, it is likely her parents were Nils Halstensson and Ingeborg Larsdotter from Långerud. And therefore my conclusion is that Niclas Persson's statement that her parents were Nils Ivarsson and Maria Olofsdotter from Östmark, is not supported by the church records.

In the previous vol, Fryksände AI:5, 1750-1752, I haven't found him or his wife.
There is Kerstin Nilsdotter b 1734/32 with father [?] Nils Ivarssson in Östmark, page 171, but it is not clear if this is the right person.
Erik Johansson's father, Johan Eriksson Tenhuinen b 1731 is living with his father with father, Erik Tenhuinen in Röjdåset, p 67. 8468
