Research Notes:
See my document, Anders Andersson, 1669-1711, Fryksände Parish, Värmland län;Ärnsjön Genealogical Proof Standard, 9 Apr 2019. © 2019 All Rights Reserved [z-folder, 8 Aug 2021]
The above document is very detailed, and mostly concerns Anders Andersson (b 1669) wife, Rangela Olofsdotter. After reviewing a number of documents, my conclusion is the following : ... I think that it is most reasonable to conclude that she was known as Rangela Olofsdotter and that she died at Ärnsjön on 21 Sept 1740 at the age of 85 years which means she was born about 1655. The death record is likely correct with the given name "Rännoll", but this was an earlier version of the name, "Rangela". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: many Family Tree records record Rangela Olofsdotter's parents Olof Karhinen and Ingrid Andersdotter

2. Fryksände household records: can't be sure, but likely, this is our Anders Andersson, b 1687-1716
Fryksände (S) AI:2 (1711-1719) Image 50 / Page 91, Ärnsjön ??
Anders - ähr död [are dead] 24 Jun 1716 [ his last examination was 1 Apr 1716, with communion 3 Feb Karin, wife [Larsdotter] Ränvoll, mod. first letter looks more like a R than the letter G - this is likely Ränvohl Persdotter (see Fryksände transcribed dödbook) and death record, vol CI:2, page 291 no 146; her death as 21 Sep 1740 age 85
[ see my post on Facebook, starting 17 Mar 2019 ]
I had posted a clip of the death/burial record from Fryksände parish registers, along with the household record (AI:2 page 91) to the Facebook group, "Swedish American Genealogy". I asked about the name spelling. Two people replied: Olle Elm from Örserum (about 300 kms southwest from Stockholm); and, Leif Olofsson (he doesn't indicate his location in Sweden)
Agreement (facebook group)
(1). Name: Ränell Persdotter, written as "Pärsdotter". The efternamn spelling/handwriting is quite odd - looks like "Pörsdotter". Olle Elm notes that the given name is likely derived from "Ranghild" (Norway) and that an old Swedish name is "Rangela" from the old Swedish Ranghild with variations, Ragnil, Ragnila, Rangel link, https://genealogi.se/faktabanken/personnamn/?view=listmanagerfront&fbclid=IwAR1VNHA5-_m37UQy-uXP6BbqlknaPTz6C_NlxPyYLuYlmobK91BgijZOFd8
(2). In the household records, simply "Anders is/are dead"
3. Name conflict:
Many of the family trees from other researchers record that her name was "Gunno Olofsdotter", but Kenneth Bergman has the name as "Rangela Olofsdotter". All note that the patronymic or efternamn is "Olofsdotter" - see my document, "Anders Andersson, 1669-1711"
4. Another marriage from the Fryksände transcribed marriages:
24 Feb 1714; Jon Nilsson from Östmark, and Rännul Olofsdotter from Ärnsjön [Fryksände (S) CI:1 (1707-1732) Image 194 / Page 381, no 2 ] - Disbyt FT from Kenneth Bergman; - Jon Nilsson b 1665 and died 1729 married to Rangella Olofsdotter who was first married to 'our' Anders Andersson b 1669 and died 1711
Jon Nilsson b 1665 died 14 Jan 1729 [Fryksände (S) CI:1 (1707-1732) Image 181 / Page 355 no 5; age undetermined - handwriting confusing; look like a '4' but there is likely a digit before 4; ??
Kenneth Bergman's website includes a number of posts from the court records: [ http://www.kenalexis.se/p204c0a5c.html ]
"Jon Nilsson in Arnsjön has the last member [1728] 16/11, because he is childless, bequeathed his property to (?, styv) son-in-law Henrik Hansson for care, but the permanent property in Östmark he has left for his nephews Nils Nilsson in Östmark and Nils Halstensson in Långerud for their "servitude". 1729 BC 18" [google translate]
Most FTs record: Annika Andersdotter, 1702-1783 and that she was married 3 times: 1. 1725 to Henrik Hansson 2. 1730 to Johan Danielsson 3. 1744 to Bertil Olofsson
The following may not be the "right" Jon Nilsson from above; NOT the correct person - there are a couple of other Disbty FT (Roger Olof Holmstrand, etc) that records a person named Jon Nilsson was married earlier to Gertrud Jönsdotter and they had 4 children (Ingegard, b 1708; Jonas, b 1711; Elin b 1714; Marit b 1718), but these don't connect to his second marriage, and Kenneth Bergman does't connect to his first marriage - the transcribed Fryksände death recordhen deaths for "Jon Nilsson" at Västanå on 4 Dec 1750; age 70 (died of hot fever) (the births noted they lived at Västanå 5732,8360
Rangela married Anders Andersson Hotakka, son of Anders Andersson Hotakka and Gertrud Larsdotter Porkka. (Anders Andersson Hotakka was born about 1669 in Fryksände, Värmland län, Sweden 8357 and died on 14 Nov 1711 in Fryksände, Värmland län, Sweden 8357.)
