The FTs record his death as Aug 1990 in Montreal, but none of the FTs provide any source information and so the confidence of this death date and location is limited. One FT owner is noted as Roy Sonmor and this may be Arnold's son, and if so, the date and location is likely correct.

One FT notes that he was married in 1959 to Anne Austen - I'm not sure of this name. However, BC Archives as a death registration for Anne Gertrud Hunke who died on the 25 Mar 1970 at Kamloops. Her husband was Arnold Sonmor and he was the informant. He was living at C 1 Glenfair St, Kamloops [currently this is a small seniors' complex close to the hospital, and to the court house, etc]. The death registration records her birth as 15 Mar 1906 in Germany and records that she/they lived in Kamloops for 10 years and that she was in BC for 26 yrs and in Canada 42 yrs. Her father's surname, Hunke

Looking at Canada Voters Lists (Ancestry), there are a couple of records from the 1948 era, that has Arnold and Mrs Arnold in the Dawson Creek BC area,

- funeral service - by a Jehovah Witness. Interment at Fraser Cemetery [no record on findagrave]
