1. Name: Jon Jonsson, sometimes Jo Jonsson (born 1807)
- many of the records have what appears to be a prefix "Trång" to the given name, Jon, and then his children in subsequent years have the same prefix to their given name.
- the word "Trång" appears to mean 'small' or 'tight'. Often a type of "nickname" became like a prefix to a given name or first name (förenamn) to distingiush a number of people in the same locality with a given name, such as, "Jon Jonsson" and then that name/word was passed on to children, even to the 1960's. This name/word would NOT be considered a real part of the förnamn.
This seems to be most often in the area now known as Dalarna -- this information is from webinar "Sweden's Multiple Naming Systems and How they Changed in the 1800s" by Martha J Garrett from Sweden (viewed on LegacyFamilyTree Webinars (11 Oct 2017) [on my PC, genealogy general resources, 'capture 5 & 6'; character, or a place/farm]
However, it could also refer to Trånggarden, re; "Family history from Särnaheden, (see my PC folder for basic translation or "story" under Kirsti Toresdatter's entry). This is most likely once I reviewed the various pages in the Husförhör book (AI:5) for the locality of Hede By (later books refer to Heden). There are about 15-20 pages each with a different name above the family recorded - this then refers to the specific home or plot of land for that family. The writer of the above article (Family history from Särnaheden) in 1951 is named "Busk Jon Jonson" and in the Husförhör book there is a page for a family at Busk, Hede By.
Jon married Sigrid Jonsdotter. (Sigrid Jonsdotter was born in 1811 in Särna, Kopparberg län, Sweden and died on 10 Jul 1843 in Särna, Kopparberg län, Sweden 560.)
Jon next married Kirsti Thoresdtr Grue, daughter of Thore Jonsen Grue and Kari Ingebretsdatter Broen, on 2 Nov 1846 in Särna, Kopparberg län, Sweden.554 (Kirsti Thoresdtr Grue was born on 12 Feb 1816 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway 555, baptized on 15 Apr 1816 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway 556 and died between 21 and 25 Mar 1856 in Särna, Kopparberg län, Sweden 557,558.)
