   Another name for Ingeborg was Ingeborg Kling.

I am confident that Ingeborg Andersdotter was married to Anders Olson and that the family left for North America in 1863. Numerous records note that the family settled in Stockholm Twp, Wright Co, MN. They had joined the Stockholm Lutheran Church, but it appears that they left the congregation in 1871. The family is recorded in the 1870 US Federal Census at Stockholm Twp, Wright Co. However, Ingeborg is recorded with the given name of "Isabella", but the other members of the family are correct. After the 1870 Cenus and the Stockholm Church records, I am not sure what happened to the Anders Olson family.

In late Sep 2021, I reviewed the family information again. I did a broad search on Ancestry, using the name Anders Olson, his birth and location, and that he lived in Minnesota, along with wife Ingeborg. There were few possibilities, with the name of "Anders Olson Kling" identified in the "Barth FT". Reviewing the information from this family tree, it is likely that this is the family of 'our' Ingeborg Andersdotter born in 1835, along with daughter Christine and Mary [Marie] born in Sweden and then others born in MN.

Using the Barth FT has a guide with hints, the family of Anders Olson Kling and Ingeborg Andersdotter are found in the 1875 MN State Census and the 1880 US census living at Stockholm Twp. Sometime after 1880, this family moved to Sacred Heart Twp in Renville Co, MN [abt 75 kms west of Stockholm Twp] and they are recorded at Renville Co in the 1885 and 1895 MN State and 1900 US Census.

However, there are some problems with the Barth FT [note there are a couple of other family trees on ancestry, but it almost seems that the information is basically the same and may have been copied from or by Barth FT]. The Barth FT recorded the wrong birth date for Ingeborg and may have taken this birth date from the Stockholm Lutheran Church records where the date is noted as incorrect. This FT also recorded the wrong death of Anders Olson. This was likely based on the Stockholm Lutheran Church funeral/death record, but the problem is that this is the "wrong Anders Olson" [see below].

If 'our' Ingeborg Andersdotter was married to the person named Anders Olson Kling as identified in the Barth FT, then I have likely found the right family. However, there is no collaborating evidence that "Anders Olson Kling" is the same person as "Anders Olson" who was married to 'our' Ingeborg Andersdotter. I have not found an explanation for the adoption of the surname "Kling", other than perhaps as a way to identify the family as different from the other Anders Olson family (with wife Pernilla) that lived at Stockholm Twp, Wright Co, and also were members of Stockholm Lutheran Church. Another possible explanation for the use of the surname, "Kling", is that "Kling" was a Swedish soldier name meaning "blade" as indicated by Paul Christenson in the Barth FT

Due to the lack of collaborating evidence, I have not recorded more information using the surname of "Kling" on my Legacy database [I have noted the census information etc below]

1 Oct 2021 - Paul Christenson, of "Barth FT" replied::
"Hi Rueben, Kling is a Swedish surname, which has also been used as a soldier's name. Anna Jonasdotter (1799-1869) had three sons who all took the surname Kling [Anna Jonasdotter was Anders Olsson's mother]. They might have taken the surname when they served in the military. I could not find a place called Kling in Sweden. However, the Swedish word for blade is "klinga." Paul

[5 Mar 2023 - again reviewed some Ancestry Family Trees - but again, I can't confirmed that Anders Olson and Ingeborg Andersdotter were also known with the family surname of "Kling"

3. Where Did Andrew (Anders) and Ingeborg go to after 1 Jun 1870? ?

[ 13 Apr 2020 ] the family seems to have disappeared ! no Family Trees on Familysearch or Ancestry has any information

I haven't found Anders and Ingeborg Olson in MN state census for 1875 (or 1885 or 1895 ) or 1880 or 1900 US Census ???

- I also looked at Sweden since they may have returned to Sweden, and do not find them recorded in 1860-1947 name

- this family is recorded in 1900 US Census for Stockholm Twp, Wright Co, MN; but this says that he emigrated in 1869, along with wife Pernilla b 1832 in Sweden and were married for 37 years (about 1863)
- this family is also recorded in 1875 MN Census at Stockholm Twp (image 8, fam 83), along with Pernilla but her age as 32
- this family also in 1895 MN Census (as above) but Pernilla b abt 1843 (age 52); 26 years in MN <1869>

And with faint writing and a bit hard to read, it is recorded that Anders had come onto this land [or had staked the land] on June 18-19, 1865. Anders [recorded as Andrew Olson] received the letter patent for the homestead on 25 Sept 1872 (BLO-GLO records).
