bullet  Research Notes:

1. Marriage: 18 Dec 1852 (CI:3, page 559)

NOTE: the following information is from Familysearch Wiki: Sometimes you will see information about the Giftoman or Förmydaren (a legal representative for the bride)

You may find engagement certificates called "lysningssedel or lysningsattest" mixed among the engagement and marriage records. These papers might include the name of the giftoman, refer to any special permission that was granted for the marriage, mention the "giftomans samtycke" (his agreement), or include reference to a probate. A widow or widower could not remarry until the assessment and divisions of their previous "estate" were legally resolved.
In some cases the lysningssedel replaced the engagement and marriage book.
Historically the single woman was never of independent legal status, the giftoman would have to agree to a marriage and then marry her away. The giftoman was usually the bride's father. If the father was deceased, then usually the oldest brother would fill this role. Once married, the womans legal representation was by her husband. Only widows had independent legal status.

- in Maria Andersdotter's marriage record, there is no column heading (far right side of the page), and in her case there is only the name, Anders Steffansson and next is ...? but maybe something like "gift [?] broder, Nils Andersson; some of the marriage entries have the word "förmyndare" (similar to förmydaren, above)
- also the column before this has date of 26 Dec 1852 ? - I don't understand what this date is?

NOTE: is likely that I will need more research and information to understand why the names of Anders and Nils are recorded.

Also NOTE; date of banns, the public announcement of intended marriage is on 21 Nov 1852. Without the column headings specifing the dates, makes it difficult to determine the date of marriage. However, in most cases the first date is the date for banns and the second date after the names of the bride and groom is the marriage date (later books Östmark have column headings and the date on the right hand side is the column for the date of marriage (vigelse)

bullet  Noted events in her life were:

1. Residence, 1856-1859, 1856-1859, Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden. 6510 Farm/locality: Mellmarkstorp

2. Residence, 1860-1865, 1860-1865, Östmark, Värmland län, Sweden. 6511 Farm/locality: Mellmarkstorp.

4. Residence, 1872, Feb 1872, Hamrånge, Gävleborg län, Sweden. 6513 I have not been able to find a farm or location for Anders Hansson from 1870 to about 1878. The family is found at the farm/locality of Millmark-Millmarkstorp and Millmarkstorp in Östmark parish (1868-1870). It seems that sometime in 1870-1872 they moved out of the Östmark parish to Hamrånge parish in Gälveborg län; however, the family is not recorded in the moving out records for Östrmark or the moving in records for Hamrånge parish.

It is clear that the family lived for while at Hamrånge parish, since this is the location of birth for the youngest son, Otto Whilhelm (Otto's birth record does not record a farm location).

Hamrånge is about 50 kms south of Sandarne parish.

5. Residence, 1879-1881, 1879-1881, Sandarne, Gävleborg, Sweden. 6514 Anders Hansson family (Maria, August, Anders, Marie, Karolina, Johannes, Tilda and Otto) is living in Sandarne parish in Gävleborg county. This area is on the Baltic coast, about 750 kms east of Östmark.
