John is recorded as a lodger in the home of Earl Taylor. In Apr 1935, John was living in Bakersfield, CA. Athough I do not have definitive proof, this is likely 'our John Egge'. The CA Voter Registration list (Ancestry) for the years 1938-1940 and 1942-1944 record John D Egge, as a Service Station living at 303 N, J. Street, Lompoe, Santa Anna Co CA and registered as a Democrat. The WW II Draft Enlistement records (on Ancestry) indicate as of 3 Jun 1941 he was in the National Guard and enlisted in Santa Barbara Co.
