Gilbert married Gea Augustdatter Søndmør, daughter of August Andersson and Ingeborg Anna Jacobsdatter Søndmør, on 25 Jan 1886 in United States.⁶⁵¹¹ (Gea Augustdatter Søndmør was born on 14 Jun 1866 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway ⁶⁵⁰⁰, baptized on 1 Jul 1866 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway,⁶⁵⁰⁰ died on 26 Feb 1951 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada ⁶⁵⁰¹ and was buried in Wetaskiwin Cemetery, Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada ⁶⁵⁰¹.)

  Noted events in their marriage were:

1. Marriage - 1886, 25 Jan 1886, United States. ^6511,6512 The Kuzmick family tree does not record location. I have researched MN Marriages, US Evangelical Church records and other google searches (including options in North Dakota) but I cannot find their location of marriage.

I found one original source that indicates their marriage date (but not location). This is from the newspaper Wetaskiwin Times (8 Feb 1906, page 1). The following is a partial transcription of the article titled "Baeili Lake" with subtitle of "China Wedding": "The home of Gilbert Svensen was the scene of a pleasant surprise on Thursday January 25^th, the occasion being the 20^th anniversary of their wedding." This would then indicate the marriage date as 25 Jan 1886.
