- Ole and oldest son, Martin, went to the US in 1865 (although Emigrants from Trondhiem gives a registration date of 29 July 1868). The rest of the family to US in 1870. First settled in Menominee township, Dunn Co, Wis; 1884 to Ashland, Wis. Son Thorvale (known as T O Berg) moved Cloquet, Carlton Co, MN in 1885 (near Duluth) and then in 1892 to Little Falls, Morrison Co, MN. Son Martin emigrated to Claresholm, AB in about 1903/1904

- Ole Berg - marked as Scandianvian - no other information given
- next person is listed as Louis Berg, also Scandianvian


3. Ole Olsen Berg not listed in the 1870 US Census for Dunn or Ashland Co, WI (although, there is a listing for Ole H Berg, age 40 <1830> for Dunn Twp, Dunn Co. WI) - age does not correspond

4. 1870 US Census: Dunn Twp, Dunn Co, WI: Martin Berg, age 20 <1850> and listed as working in a sawmill

5. 1880 US Census: Dunn Twp, Dunn Co, WI: Ole Berg, age 56 <1824> with wife Hannah, age 55 <1825> and son John (age 15 <1865>, born in Norway and grandson George (age 5 <1875>, born in WI)

- note: familysearch.com lists as Ole Burg

There is no convincing evidence that the father of Ole Olsen Berg, born 1822, was Ole Estensen Kotmo, born 1783; however, it is probable . There is convincing evidence that the parents of Ole Olsen Berg was Ole Esten Kotmo and Marit Eriksdtr Berg. Therefore, I have included this information on my Legacy database with a surety level of #3, almost certain conclusion . ^922,924,925
