this FT does not record Halsten's mother, but she was Sigri Estensdtr Grue, b 1795 and was the daughter of Esten Jonsen Grue [1754-1797], the oldest son of my 4th great-grandfather, Jon Simensen Grue, 1729-1807
AND the Ancestry FT does not record anything about Halsten and family

  Noted events in his life were:

1. Disproven death - 1908, 1908, Tolga, Hedmark, Norway. The books, Bygebok for Os and Os in and the Bailey FT on Ancestry all record that Halsten died in 1908, with the Bailey FT recording his death as 11 Mar 1908 but with no source information. I have also reviewed all the various volumes of the Norway Parish registers for Togla for death/burials in 1907-1909. I have not found his death recorded. I have no explanation for this.

Halsten married Ingeborg Johannesdatter in 1861.¹³¹⁷ (Ingeborg Johannesdatter was born on 9 Sep 1830 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway ^1317,4412 and died in 1916 in Tolga, Hedmark, Norway ¹³¹⁷.)
