"[He] had been trained [or he was taught] by his uncle Kirsten Grue in Molde and [he] had various official offices in the Kristiansund area. [ Sound?]. In 1866 he was appointed to the police in Edøy and lived at Smølen [Smøla]."

"He was married to Emilie Josefu Olsen from Molde, but he died by 1877 at the hospital in Kristiansund. He was hospitalized there as a result of being accidently shot in the head [ he had a load of buckshot in his head]. He had 5 daughters, with one dying in early childhood."

"Lars' widow was a brave woman who, after her husband's death educated herself as a teacher and all the kids got a good education, so they got on well in the world."

[ Blev oplært av farbroren Kirstne Grue i Molde og kom på forskjellige embedskontorer helt nedover til Kristiansund S. Han blev i 1866 utnævnt til lensmann i Edø og bodde på Smølen. Han blev gift med Josefu Emilie Olsen fra Molde, men døde allerede i 1877 på sykehuset i Kristiansund. Han var indlagt der efter at hand ved vaadeskud hadde faat en haglladning i hodet. Av has 5 døtre døde 1 som barn. Lars' enke var en tapper kvinne, som efter mannens død utdannet sig som lærerinne og skaffet alle barna en god utdannelse, så de kom sig godt frem i verden ]
