from www.snohomishhistory.com; 2005 Darilee Bednar project was started August 2005 when Jim Shipman, a Marysville Historian, brought in a photocopy of a WWII scrapbook that was kept by an unknown person during the war years. 1500+ undated articles from the Everett Herald, the local newspaper for Everett Washington. And even though the articles are undated I believe that they offer historical information about the military service of many Snohomish County Washington men and women. I chose to use them as the center on this online presentation

- listed in same residence of Leo Movold in 1941 & 1944 - 1941, occupation as "ruler" with EP&PCo (same as his father) - not clear what this is, but likely worked in a saw mill where the size of thickness of lumber was measured with a ruler - 1944, occupation as USN 'r' - not sure what this is (he was in the Army at that time); residence listed as the same as his parents

a. 1943 State College of Washington at Pullman, page 216 (ancestry p 222) - photo - 4th row, 4th in - this photo for Theta Chi, but doesn't list him as a senior, etc, but implies a "Freshman" - Pullman is 100+kms south of Spokane
b. 1945 yearbook; pages 8-9 "In Memoriam" ; with the name of Franklin D Roosevelt, Commander in Chief Everett High School
