Sam Julius b 17 Sep 1894 ... parents Semming A Bergseth og Hustra Ingeborg from findagrave, 49011578 .. WWI .. note posted: "Corporal Sam Julius Bergseth, Winnebago. Entered service at Blue Earth in July 1918 [age 24]. Trained at Camp Wadsworth and Camp Sturart, going overseas with Company M, 3rd Pioneer Infantry in September. Was accidentally wounded by the explosion of a one-pound shell at Montaucon, France on November 24, 1918, and died the following day. Was buried at Souilly, France*. * But ... there is a gravemarker at Riverview Cemetery, Faribualt Co, MN - this is likely put by a family member
