Summary:
Jon Jonsen Heggeriset was most likely born in 1737 - according to the Norway parish records he died in 1797 at the age of 60 years [note that Bygebok for Engerdal and some of the family trees records his birth as 1740]. Jon Jonsen was born and grew up at the farm known as Jons in Heggeriset. At the time Heggeriset was in the far north part of Tyrsil parish [later it was within the boundaries on Engerdal parish]. His maternal grandfather was Gjermund Gjermundsen Hammersgaard [1682-1752]. Gjermund Gjermundsen and his brother Emrebet Gjermundsen were the first settlers/builder at Heggeriset as early as 1714 - their half brother, Halvor Gjermundsen likely joined them at Heggeriset a few years later - Halvor's farm was known as Lillestu or Heggerist lille.

Jon Jonsen Heggeriset [b 1737] was the first settler/builder at Nørdre Lillebo east if Drevsjø and only a few kms west of the Norway-Swedish border. Jon and his 1st half cousin Per Halvorsen are listed as the owners of north and south Lillebo in the records of the King in 1778. However, they likely were permanently at Lillebo for at least the previous 10 years. People from Heggeriset had fishing camps at Lillebo on lake Vurrusjøen east of Drevsjø and a larger camp near Stoa, Idre parish at the eastern shores of lake Fløntningssøen in Sweden. Many people crossed the border frequently. Per's farm became known as Søndre Lillebo. Note that in some of the early records Lillebo was known as Lille-bua.
As indicated below, he was married to Ingeborg Povelsdotter [aka, Pälsdotter] - she was born about 1739 in Idre Parish, Kopparberg, Sweden. They were married in Oct 1768, within the boundaries of Trysil parish, Norway.
Jon Jonsen Heggeriset and Ingeborg Povelsdotter had at least 8 children. Their oldest child, Jon b 1769 took over the farm Nørdre Lillebo. Child number 5 was Gjermund Jonsen, b in 1775, baptised on 25 Jun 1775 - see Gjermund Jonsen's page for more detail. Note: I have recorded the names and birth year of Jon Jonsen Heggeriset's children based on the information from the Bygebok for Engerdal, vol 1 and page 442 and 443 in my Legacy database, but I have not researched or verified their birth years or their descendants.
Jon Jonsen Heggeriset died 1797 and buried on 28 May 1797. Ingeborg Povelsdatter also died in 1797, but about a month earlier with her burial on 21 Apr 1797.
