"He [ie, Gjermund, b abt 1730] was nicknamed Rik-Gjermund, and is probably the twin brother of number 4, Ola. The Ola that they thought the underground* had taken, was supposed to be 5-6 years old and was probably born sometime in the 1750s. The sister who slept with him in the barn, had not noticed anything, it is said" * underground - in Norwegian, the word is "underjordiske" ... goolge translate of 'underground' does make sense, but in Einar Haugen's dictionary - the word refers to "underworld where gnomes, goblins live"
Note: FamilySearch FT [2WFL-WK5] .. has some additional information on Gjermund Pedersen, 1776-1820 - this Gjermund was the son of Kirsti Gjermundsdatter, b 1755 whose father was Gjermund Gjermundsen Vestues-Higgeriset, b 1731 - see Bygebok for Engerdal vol 1, page 96 family grouping II, no 2 and then page 96 - family grouping III and IV .. the above FamilySearch FT records a number of other children not recorded in the Bygebok for Engerdal
Gjermund married Siri Persdatter. (Siri Persdatter was born about 1728 in Oppigarn Sørby, Trysil, Hedmark, Norway.)
