... Geneanet Family Tree .... Granseth-Sektnan-Besseætta FT ... owner, mgranset .... accessed 10 April 2025
https://gw.geneanet.org/mgranset?lang=sv&n=moen&p=johanne
... this tree seems to be relatively well researched to a certain extent ... but I do not recognize how or if the owner is related to me
- in terms of my family, has references/sources - Bygebok for Engerdal, John Midtdal's book Tufsingdalen, but not a lot of census information
... does have some basic info on the Langsjoens in Otter Tail Co, MN

... re: Johanna .... basically has the same information as I have found .... and so there is a basic agreement and further confirmation

comments from owner/admistrator:
When climbing through trees and branches in this database, you need to be aware that you will find data with great variation in quality. A large amount of data lacks source references, having been inherited internally within the family. In addition, much of the data is transcribed from other databases and local history books, and contains exactly the same errors as those sources.

Rules of thumb for data quality: credibility decreases with the temporal distance from the following primary sources:
The 1762 Additional Tax Register
The censuses of 1801, 1865, 1875, 1891, 1900, 1910, and 1920
Data from before around 1750 should be approached with a critical eye, unless the source reference indicates otherwise. Data between 1801 and around 1850 to some extent depend on how comprehensively the church records were maintained.

Furthermore, one should be aware of the normalization and standardization used in regard to:
Naming \endash display names, farm names, and aliases
Place names \endash location/holding, farm/hamlet, parish, clerical district, deanery, county
Titles \endash the use of titles in relation to farm and official histories

2nd family grouping: Knut Olsen first marriage with Margrete Jonsdatter
Barn: no 2 son ...
Jon [Knutsen] b 1784, died 1861, married 1812 to Johanne Embretsdatter Moen, Tolga, b 1782; died 24 Feb 1852

then, page 131, 3rd family grouping:
Jon Knutsen og Johanne Embretsdatter,
Barn:
1. Knut b 1812
2. Embret, b 1813
3. Margaret, b 1815

** Ingeborg [Jonsdatter], b 2 Feb 1818 [Tolga Parish register] ... then, has was a widow the child Ingeborg, 20 Dec 1850 with Salomon Olsen, Fløtningen. She then lived at Sømåhaugen. It has not been found who she was married to
above is from google translate and then, I went to ChatGPT for translation ... "Ingeborg, born 2/2 1818, was a widow with a child, Ingeborg, born December 20, 1850, *** with Salomon Olsen, Fløtningen. She lived at Sømåhaugen at that time. It has not been found who she had previously been married to."
.... this is still confusing: I think it is saying "Ingeborg... was a widow when her child, Ingeborg [Salmonsdatter] who died on 20 Dec 1850. The father of the child was Salomon Olsen who was from Fløtningen [Sweden]. Ingeborg, b 1818 lived at Sømåhaugen. Her marriage is not known, but she is recorded as an Enke or widow

but if you look for a person named Ingeborg and died 20 Dec 1850 in Rendal parish register
... Ingeborg Salmonsdatter, died 20 Dec 1850 and buried on 31 Dec 1850 at age 5 weeks [uker] ... thus, Cal b 15 Nov 1850
... died at Sømaahaugen .... Note: there is no corresponding birth/baptism record for Ingeborg Salmonsdatter

.. AND then.. a few lines down on the same page as above, crossed off .... Ingeborg Salamondsatter died 20 dec 1850 at age 5 months [måneden] Rendalen parish register (official) no. 4, 1829-1852, p. 158, no 9 ... burials for Ingeborg Salmonsdtr
............ https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9192/163

.. AND, towards the botttom of this page, p. 158...... Johanne Engbretsdatter died 24 Feb 1852, bur. 15 Mar 1852 ...
age 70, residence Sømåhaugen .... prior to name, the word, Føderådskone [a sort of pensioner, receiving support from new owners
of the farm by contract made on the sale
