- birth as recorded; grew up in Fosston, graduated high school in 1914
- fall 1914 went to North Dakota Agricultural School for 3 years
- 1917 - enlisted, went to Camp Dodge to the end of the war; discharged as a second Lieutenant; continued studies at North Dakota
- after graduation, he worked at North Dakota Agricultural School for 1 yr as basketball coach [ abt 1919] and then 1 year at Luther College [ abt 1920 ? - point 7 above indicates 1921 ]]
- in 1920 he went to Everett, WA and coached basketball at Everett Junior High - for 11 years [ until 1931; however, point 8 records him in Everett in 1933 ?? ]
- in May 1921, married to Miss Becky Hackenback from Monticello, Indiana - they made their home in Everett until 1936 when he retired from coaching and moved back to Minnesota, living in International Falls [Koochiching County, MN ] for seven years and then back to Fosston [ abt 1943 ]
- survived by one son, Robert, of Terre Haute, Ind; three brothers, Elmer of Madison, WI, Clifford of Alexandria, MN, and Milton of Red Mountain, CA


15. Marriage

- 1930 US Census says Ralph's age at first marriage was 31, thus about 1925
- HOWEVER, obit says he was married in May 1921 --- and the location as likely WA, since the obit says he went to Everett WA in 1920 [ no record on WA digital or ancestry - Indiana marriage records; 29 Nov 2011 ]

- Mrs Movold's parents are going to be away for 2 months - travelling to Eden, Idaho to visit daughter and husband, Ralph A Movold who is an instructor and athletic coach in the Eden schools
