- had been in Coutts - died from a ruptured appendix (first thought to have been an allergic reaction to peanuts since he had eaten a chocolate bar)

Mervin Movold - 1900-1918. Son of Thron and Lena (Dunrud) Movold. Died at the age of eighteen and is buried in the Masinasin Cemetery. In 1918 a friend and he rode to Coutts where Mervin ate a chocolate bar with peanuts in it, two days later he was dead. At that time people thought his death was caused by the chocolate bar, but over the years the family believe he suffered a ruptured appendix. In those years there were no funeral parlors as we know them today and so a coffin was constructed by Mr. Lewison and prepared on the inside by Mrs. Lewison. 415
