- says he had two children, but only mentions Ray - who lived 8 miles west of Breton, AB (Ray's son Moris also lives/lived there; Ray's other son, Ray Jr lives/lived in Cold Lake, AB; Ray's daughter Carol lives/lived in Edmonton)
- Ray served in the War (WWII) and married overseas ---- photo in the local history book, "From Sandstone to Settlers", Maninasin Historical Society

2. Find a Grave 75512934; Breton Cemetery [see son Raymond]

- lists Lewis T Movold, birth as 1888, death as 1967 at Breton cemetery - his wife's obit of 1981, records death as 1967

  Noted events in his life were:

1. Birth, uncertain, Feb 1892, Polk Co, Minnesota, United States. ^1978,1979 Lewis was likely born in Polk Co, MN; however, his date of birth is uncertain. It is most likely that he was born in 1892, but some individuals have noted his birth as 18 Feb 1891 (Bernice Thompson, granddaugther of Thron Movold records this date in the local history book, 'From Standstone to Settlers').

Records that are closer to the birth event (1900 US census, Alberta application for homestead Patent) indicate is birth as Feb 1892. Additionally the 1911 Canada Census records his birth as Feb 1892. Other census records (the 1895 and 1905 MN State Census, the 1916 Canada Prairie Province Census and the 1921 Canada Census) records an individual's 'age at last birthday'. Calculating the Lewis' age in each of the census, his birth would have been 1892; in order for his birth to have been in 1891, his recorded age would have to have been 1 year older.

Further research, such as birth certificate or return, would be helpful.

3. Residence 1921, 1 Jun 1921, Milk River, Alberta, Canada. ¹⁹⁷⁵ Sec 12, Twp 3, Range 14, W4th. Louis Movold, head of household, age 29 born in US, farmer own farm, but appears that he is renting, emigrated in 1905, naturalized in 1919. Wife Carolina, age 22 <1899> born in US (parents German), emigrated in 1909, naturalized in 1919.

4. Death - uncertain, Between 1967 and 1969, Breton, Alberta, Canada. ¹⁹⁷⁶ Lewis' date of death and location is uncertain. A Findagrave post records the tombstone at Breton Cemetery in Breton, AB, for Lewis T Movold, death 1967. This is likely 'our' Lewis Movold, but this post records birth as 1888. The ancestry.com Public Member Tree, 'Molden Family Tree' records his death as 14 Aug 1969. Neither of these posts provide any source citiation.

Further research, such as a death certificate or burial or obituary, would likely provide additional information.

Lewis married Carolyn Shulty about 1920 in Alberta, Canada ³⁹⁸.^,1975 (Carolyn Shulty was born about 1899 in United States,¹⁹⁷⁵ died on 16 May 1981 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.)

  Marriage Notes:

Marriage year is uncertain and is assumed. Married as of 1 Jun 1921. Son Ray was born on 7 Jun 1921. Thus marriage may have been in 1920 or they married after Ray was conceived.
