Otto Moody

  Research Notes:

Summary: Otto Moody is my 6th cousin, 4 times removed, and so he and his siblings are distant relatives. Otto was born in 1873 and so he would be the same generation as my grandparents, Lars and Avey Grue (nee Skaret). And my relationship to the Moody/Modig families through my grandmother's ancestors.

Otto's children would be the same generation as my father, Oliver Thurston Grue.

I have not recorded details of Otto nor his children, although there is information on the research notes.

I had used the Mager FT as a starting point in noting Otto's family. However, a few days later I came across what is mostly likely a printed booklet or softcover book, likely self published in 1990. This posted by FamilySearch - the URL is very long and cumbersome, as is the title. I have "shorten the title" as follows:

It is clear from reviewing the material that Kay Breding Netz has done a significant amount of research and has well documented the family, and helps me to confirm or collaborate much of the information I have found.

Otto Moody was Kay Breding Netz's grandfather, and since she was born in 1937, she would be the same generation as myself. On mage 93, Kay has printed a "descendant" list the Otto Moody family.

As indicated, Kay Bredning Netz has written many comments on the Otto Moody family [images 76-95]. I have not made many additional notes on the family, since Kay Bredning Netz has provided a lot of detail (however, she doesn't always include in the her notes/comments detailed dates of birth or death - usually only the year).

Otto married Hilma Berthina Morrau on 2 Nov 1901 in Otter Tail Co, Minnesota, United States. (Hilma Berthina Morrau was born in Nov 1882 in Otter Tail Co, Minnesota, United States, died in 1942 in North Dakota, United States and was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Burke Co, North Dakota, United States.)
