According to family records, he never married. He and his sister Gertrud returned to Sweden, and he returned without her to Buffalo, MN about Oct. 15, 1880. He was said to be in poor health and died shortly after.
NOTE: there is no record of him in the 1900 US Census

1. Death - uncertain: Uncertain date of death - After 1880 but before 1885?, After 1880, Wright Co, Minnesota, United States. Jöns date of death is not proven. The only reference is from the Ancestry Family Tree - Moody FT ... "he returned to Buffalo MN about [after] 15 Oct 1880...he was said to be in poor health and died shortly after."
