Many of the family Trees (FTs) on Ancestry record the birth of Marit or Mary Jonsdotter/Ericksson. And that she was born in 1856 in Östmark and that she died in Dec 1880 in Sweden [abt 14 years old]. But this is unlikely, since there is no evidence that Jons Ericksson and Kajsa Haltensdotter traveled back to Sweden
[FTs: Jones, Rundquist, Heft1, and Brodin Ostlund - although curiously Brodin Ostlund FT provides a link to a US Church record for Zion Lutheran Church in Minneapolis: image 311, Mrs Maria Bergstrom died 28 Dec 1911 and the funeral was held on 12 Jan 1912; she died at the age of 56 years, 9 mos, 2 days [this would have her birth as 26 Mar 1856]; she is noted as "not a member"; her address is noted at 1811 Clinton Ave.


Sharons Tree (FT) on ancestry records the above date of death for Mary "Marit" Erickson, but she does not link to the church record (see above comment). Sharons Tree (FT) also records that Mary was married to Andrew Bergstrom and notes 1900 and 1910 US Census records.

However, in the 1875 MN States Census, there is no one name Mary or Marit as a child of Jons Erickson and Kajsa at Stockholm Twp at Wright Co, MN. The record includes Carrie (Carolina), Edward, Emma, and David, BUT NOT Marie or Marit. On 1 May 1875, she would have been 19 years old, and so it is possible that she was married or working someplace else.

Annie became Mrs. Bergstrom, and lived in Invermay, where her husband ran a store. They had one daughter, Margaret, and one son. Margaret (Mrs. McLeod) still lives in Calgary. The son, Raymond, moved to British Columbia.

Hans Sethre had come from MN in 1901 ... They settled on N.E. 24-31-9W2 .... Hans Sethre farmed for a time, near his father's
place. He moved to Sheho about 1919 and in 1924 moved to Kimberley, B.C. [BC death registration for his wife Annie (1963-09-002486), living at a nursing home in Creston; she died 1 Feb 1963; BC death registration (1960-09-015087) for Hans Sethrie died 16 Dec 1960; informant, Mrs Annie Sethre with her address as Valley View Motel, Creston
