  Research Notes:

1. I have reviewed a number of pages from the Östmark parish records, tyring to see if there is a family relationship with Hallsten Hallsten b 1743 - but I have not found a family relationship; His father was Erik Stephansson b 1788 and lived at Fäbacken, but originally hew was from North Lekvattnet farm/village.

Karin Hallstendotter, b 27 Sep 1809, at Ulvsjön/Ulvsjötorp [CI:1 page 233 no 43] and her parents were Hallsten Hallstensson and Karin Eriksdotter at Ulvsjötorp [Ulfsjötorp]

Hallsten Ersson b 1813: his parents Erik Stephansson and Helja Hallstensdotter
they are recorded in Household Records, AI:7, page 80 at Fäbacken
Erik Stepansson b 1788 married to Helja Hallstendotter, b 1788 ;
BUT she was 1st married to Erik Mattson b 1770, d. 1811 ??? it is a bit hard to make out, but "18 ..?", at first then written over, so "..11'; however, death records in Volume CI:3 are damaged an only a few entries for 1811, and that's it. ***

BUT: births (CI:1, page 237 no 57): Erik b 30 Sep 1810 to Erik Matsson and Marit Hallstensdotter at Fäbacken - is Marit a mistake?? ]

- Hallsten had homesteaded in Benson Co, ND

13 Jul 1911; 160.79 acres on Sec 30 and Section 31, Benson Co; just across the river from Eddy Co --- remember that this was originally part of the Devils Lake Indian Reservation and some of their land was re-allocated for "homestead" lands
