Edwin Frederick Hallsten: Written by his sisters: Hilda, Ida, and Alvina
Edwin Frederick, born August 17, 1889, died March 22, 1976. He was called "Fred"
"Then there was the year of critical illness. Father (HO) and son Fred became very ill with typhoid fever...
Edwin Frederick had married Gloy Paul of Red Lake Falls, MN. Their two children are Allard and Frankie.

From Gloy:
Fred (1889-1976) was born near Sheyenne, then Dakota Territory, to H.O.[this would have to be Hallsten Olof Hallsten] and Tilda Jacobson Hallsten. He was the oldest of seven children. .. the Hallstens had come here to homestead.
Fred attended grade schools in town and in 1912 became a mail carrier....he served in the Army during WWI.,
Married in 1923. We had two children: Allard and Frankie. ... Allard eventually moved to Missoula, MT.
Frankie married and moved to Denver, CO and then MN.

Fred and I moved to Grand Forks in 1955 and then to Red Lake Falls, MN where I (Gloy) now make my home.
Fred passed away March 22, 1976 and is buried here.
