2. Findagrave id, 91277064 - records his name as Erik J Moody; but born 1820? [actual is 15 Sep 1881] and then the following notes: soldier in the US Civil War:

Moody FT [Kathleen Granstrom]; access 16 May 2022 https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/173946793/person/152258187072/facts along with an image of the application for "veteran" headstone, made by Peter J Moody (a brother ?) from Buffalo, Wright Co, MN on 16 May 1920 - on the "original application" is the name of Moody, Erik J. and so forth. BUT over the name in red ink the card has written "Erik J Modig" - headstone wasn't ordered and shipped until 1930
BUT who is Peter J Moody ?? - I believe this is Per Jonsson, b 1858, and grandson of Gertrud Jonsdotter b 1800 - Gertrud's second marriage was to Erik Modig - Gertud's 1st marriage to Jon Persson - they had 4 children: one Per or Peter Jonsson - used the surname Moody - he had emigrated with his uncle Olof Persson
On this findagrave post, is the following note [it is NOT clear who made this comment] Is Erick Moody aka Erick Modig? (aka Eric J. Modig)
