Maria Svensdotter Tarvainen. Does anyone know anything about this woman? Who is the father?
Maria Svensdotter Tarvainen b. 1795 is illegitimate daughter of Marit Simonsdotter Hotakka b. 1764-03-18 in Strandbråten, Vitsand (S) died 1839-10-03 in Flatåsen Mellan, Norra Ny (S). Marit Simonsdotter Hotakka was married 2 times, first 1803-12-04 in Norra Ny with Anders Hindriksson b. 1761 in Flatåsen. Next time 1811-11-07 in Norra Ny with Daniel Persson Moijainen b. 1759-02-02 in Flatåsen Södra.

Maria Svensdotter is alleged to have been born in Fryksände in Norra Ny (S) but she is not found in the born book there. Maria is in hfl. 1820-24 Norra Ny (S) AI: 12 p.96. The Finnish family names are printed there.
Hf. 1790-1803 in Fryksände AI: 12 p.198 on the right side of the book under Strandbråten with his father Simon Larsson, she appears the first time with her illegitimate daughter Maria Svensdotter.

Buying your reasoning that Sven Andersson should also be Maria's father and it is for sure that the church books in Östmark, Fryksände and Norra Ny lack some entries. Especially children born out of wedlock and by parents who moved between parishes have fallen outside. Many times it looks as if people moved through a black hole. Perhaps the prospective mothers went to Norway to release fines. Then it is not so strange that they are missing in the church records. The messages from the priest in Norway went from the local priest to the bishop of Hamar and then to the top of the Norwegian church system. Then to Sweden and correspondingly down the system to the local priest there. It may well be that a piece of paper sometimes disappeared on the road.

It is interesting that he was the father of several who named Maria, probably named after his mother. It seems like there have been more than just one night stands with the ladies ...

Sven was married to Karin Mattesdotter from Noppi in Mangen on the 26th of December 1790, but she died already on 13/1 1792. He is probably the father of Maria Svensdotter f 1792 also (mother Kerstin Larsdotter whom he also received a Maria in 1786). He has therefore had the opportunity for a romance or two before he married Karin Henriksdotter.
