Erik Nilsson

A brief summary: [ 13 Oct 2019 ]


Although I don't have absolute proof that the information below is in fact the second youngest son of my 5th greatgrandfathr, Nil Ivarsson (1740-1829.

Erik Nilsson wa on in 1784 and died in 1822. I have not found any other FT's or other researchers.

He is recorded with his parents in his early years at Långerud in Östmark parish. As if often the case when a person becomes older, he/she goes to various farms working. But I found it hard to follow is movement. I was researchng his younger brother Nils Nilsson (b 1849) on page 177, Klåggestranden (Östmark). The record is a bit hard to read, but it is noted that in 1806 he moved to Rådom. From previous researchers I knew that there was a placename/village naem Rådom in Fryksände parish. And sure enough, I found him the Fryksäne in the Household records (AI:13, page 57) it is recorded that he came from Långerud - of course this was where he was born and this record is strong and reasonable evidence that I have found the right person, Erkin Nilsson b 181 at Långerrud. It seems that his wife, Karin Jonsdotter (b 1781 had previously been married and they had 2-3 children. Erik Nilsson and Karin had another 2-3 children.

In the next volume, AI:14, Karin died, but I can't make out a year of death.

In the next volume, AI:15, Erik Nilsson died in 1822. I haven't been able to find a death/burial record.

It appears that his two boys had moving to Östmark about 1822. But much more research is neeed
