11. Marriage (s)
First - Holly Tomren has his first wife, Thea, born 22 April 1884 in Norway -- Holly Tomren indicates he has a second wife, but records the death of Thea in 1971 === this may be an error; however, for the most part her work is quite accurate - 1911 Canada Census has his first wife as Tillie, born April 1884 in Norway [ this could be Thea; Tillie could also refer to someone else or could be short for Matilda or Tilda; NOTE: there is no one by the name of Thea, Tillie, Matilda or Tilda listed at Five Mile Cemetery ]; - daugther Olga was born in March 1904 in AB; son born in March 1911 in US === it is possible that Alfred and Tillie-Thea or Tillie-Thea only, returned to WI sometime after 1904; since Alfred was listed as single in 1906, it is possible that only Tillie-Thea returned; sometime before 1911, Alfred returned and shortly after Melvin-Edward was born, they returned to Claresholm - BUT in 1916 Canada Census, Alfred is listed as a Widow ( W ) - if this is the case Tillie died between June 1911 and June 1916 - Where Wheatlands ...., 1974; recorded that Alfred had two wifes, since it states he had Olga and Melvin as children with his first wife BUT DOES NOT say that his first wife died - US WW I Draft card - signed Sept 17, 1918, records: nearest relative - Thea C Berg, Eau Clarie, Wis
Second - 1920 US Census lists Alfred as married ( M ) but does not list a wife - only Olga and Melvin, along with Gilma Lyngaas as a housekeeper and her son ( she is listed as a Widow ) - 1930 US Census lists Alfred as married with wife Gilma, Olga, Melvin, Gordon, and Clarence Lyngaas as a stepson
Therefore - it is most likely Alfred was first married to Thea (Tillie), as early as 1903, and secondly was married to Gilma, sometime between 1920-1930, likely around 1922 when Gordon A was born
12. Gilma Berg - US SSDI died 1976; address on record: Eau Claire WI 708,1387,1388,1389

Alfred married Thea Caroline Larsen about 1903.1386 (Thea Caroline Larsen was born on 22 Apr 1884 in Norway 1395 and died on 7 Jan 1971 in Eau Claire Twp, Eau Claire Co, Wisconsin, United States.)
Alfred next married Gilma Cecelia Lyngass. (Gilma Cecelia Lyngass was born on 9 Feb 1887 in Wisconsin, United States and died on 22 Feb 1976 in Eau Claire City, Eau Claire Co, Wisconsin, United States 1396.)
